Williamson County Burn Ban has been reinstated

County Judge John C. Doerfler Monday instituted a burn ban for all of Williamson County, effective immediately.

The burn ban will remain in effect until further notice.

A person violates this order if he burns any combustible material outside of an enclosure which serves to contain all flames and/or sparks, or orders such burning by others.

The purpose of the burn ban is to mitigate the hazard posed by wild fires during the current hot, dry weather by curtailing the practice of outdoor burning, county officials said.
