Sam Bass Fire
Williamson County ESD #2 and #9 is a local government agency created by a vote of the public to provide fire protection and emergency medical services (EMS) in specific areas in unincorporated Williamson County. WCESD #2 and #9 Board members are appointed by the Williamson County Commissioners Court at the beginning of each calendar year. Each WCESD Board member serves a 2- year term. Sam Bass Fire Department is contracted by ESD #2 and a section of ESD#9 to provide services for these areas. The governing statute for an ESD is Chapter 775 of the Texas Health and Safety Code.
