Williamson County ESD #2 and the Sam Bass Fire Dept. has adopted a set of Fire Prevention Codes the International Fire Code 2024.
As allowed by Chapter 775.036 of the Texas Health and Safety code, effective February 20, 2025. Williamson County Emergency Services District #2 adopted the 2024 edition of the International Fire Code. The 2024 International Fire Code will be enforced in all commercial and multi-family structures within the Williamson County Emergency Services District #2. The Sam Bass Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. has been granted full authority to enforce said codes within Williamson County Emergency Services District #2. These codes will be fully enforced as of June 1, 2025.If you have a project that is in for review and permitting you will be allowed to use the 2018 IFC that we were under. If you have not submitted a plan or have a permit you will need to submit under the new 2024 IFC and amendments. Also the applications and fees have been updated.
All fees are explained in the Sam Bass Fire Department code. All fees must be paid to Sam Bass Fire Department before any reviews can begin. Click the links below for further information.
All review requests are to have an application, fees paid, and documents on a flash drive submitted to the fire prevention team at Sam Bass Fire Department. We will perform the requested inspection after the License Application has been submitted (see links below) and payment has been made. If the permit has not been completed or a request has not been made and accepted for an extension before the permit has expired you will have to resubmit a new request and pay all necessary fees.
